Officers responded to the 20 block of Moore Avenue around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, after receiving reports of gunfire and a possible gunshot victim, New London police said. When they arrived, they found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.
Police immediately provided medical aid before paramedics rushed him to an area hospital, where he died of his wounds. Police did not release his name pending family notification.
Investigators said the shooting does not appear to be random, but they have not released any details on a possible suspect or motive.
